Velzio Launch for developers: API and MCP, in detail
Use Velzio Launch from your own code or straight from your AI assistant. Search every launch, read leaderboards and founder stories, submit your product by its website address, edit your listing and get a checkout link for paid launches. The REST API and the MCP server do the same things, with the same rules.
- MCP server
https://velziolaunch.com/mcp(Streamable HTTP)- REST API
https://velziolaunch.com/api/v1- OpenAPI 3.1
- https://velziolaunch.com/api/v1/openapi.json
- Sign-in
- OAuth 2.1 for apps, or a personal key from API keys
- Version
- 1.0.0 (changelog)
Bring your AI assistant
In Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client, add https://velziolaunch.com/mcp as a custom connector or MCP server. Then ask, for example, “What launched this week in my category?”, “Find alternatives to my competitor” or “Launch my product https://example.com”. Reads work at once; the first change opens a browser in your app so you can connect your account. Step-by-step for each app.

Fixed rules
- To pay, the person opens the checkout link the API returns and pays on that page. The API itself takes no card details.
- Paid spots (the billboard and sponsorships) are labelled as paid, and community rankings stay a matter of votes only.
- There is no voting through the API or the MCP server. Votes come only from people on Velzio Launch.
- Drafts written by the AI rest on evidence quoted from the product's own site, and a fact it cannot find stays blank and marked instead of being made up.
- For prices, use list_products: it reports Velzio Launch's pricing in US dollar cents, excluding VAT.
Questions
- Can Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code connect to Velzio Launch?
- Yes. In your app, add the MCP server URL as a custom connector or MCP server. You can read straight away, and the first write opens a browser for connecting your account.
- Will the AI make up facts about my product?
- Avoiding that is how the draft is built: it works only from your own website, marks and leaves blank what it cannot verify, and nothing goes live until you have reviewed every field and changed what you want.
- Does Velzio Launch come with an API?
- Yes. There is a free REST API at /api/v1, with an OpenAPI description, and a remote MCP server at /mcp. Public data is open to read without signing in. To submit or manage your own listings, you need your account, using OAuth or an API key.
- Does the AI assistant get to vote or pay for me?
- Neither. People on the site cast the votes, and you pay on a checkout page of your own, reached through the checkout link the API returns.
- What does it cost?
- The API and the MCP server are free to use as long as you stay within the published rate limits. Products you buy, for example a paid launch, are priced on the pricing page.
