What is Spotlight, and how does it work?

The Spotlight placement
Spotlight—our Featured launch—places your listing in the Featured spot on the homepage for 7 days. It costs $19. This is a paid placement, always clearly labelled. It does not add votes and it does not influence any ranking or leaderboard.
Buying Spotlight
Any listing that is live or reserved for an upcoming week can be purchased as Spotlight. You can buy it when you submit your listing (on the plan step), or afterwards by signing in, going to /account/listings and selecting "Upgrades and extras" next to your listing. Check /pricing for the current rate.
When your Spotlight runs
If your listing is live now, 7 days begin immediately after you pay. If your launch is booked for a future week, the days commence on the Monday your listing goes live. Buying Spotlight again while an active run is underway extends it by 7 additional days. Should you reschedule your launch week, your Spotlight dates move accordingly.
What Spotlight is not
Spotlight operates independently. It is separate from our Sponsored slots (see /sponsor), from the billboard (paid positions by contribution), and from community votes. These cannot be converted into one another.
