How it started
Zinn Hub is the freelance marketplace Neil Lock co-founded with Natalie Lock; he runs it as CEO. The software behind it is his work: he designed and built the platform. His background is more than 25 years in technology, much of it spent on software, search and hosting.
Why it exists
The aim from the first day was fairness, for freelancers and for the people who hire them. Sellers start at 0% commission and can grow a brand of their own, while buyers get vetted sellers and real guidance from a team that answers.
What he built
Zinn Hub speaks 46 languages. Briefs, listings, messages and reviews are translated in both directions, and live calls run with captions or a translated voice. There are six payout methods, crypto included, and payouts through a seller's own Stripe or PayPal are instant. On the trust side, sellers are vetted and KYC-verified and platform payments are held in escrow. Neil also takes free Zinn® Concierge calls, helping buyers scope a project and find the right seller, and buyers can post a project for sellers to pitch on.
Milestones
The platform earned two awards in 2026: UK Freelance Marketplace of the Year 2026 (365 Awards) and Best Multilingual Freelance Marketplace in the United Kingdom of 2026 (Best of Best Review).
